I’m always hesitant to say a book isn’t good, but I genuinely think this one isn’t. I decided to read this during a reading slump. I was thinking of an fast paced YA book might help and remembered I never finished this duology. While I remembered the basic plot of the first, it’s been a few years since I read the first, so while I can’t remember all the details if it was anything like the second book I can now remember why I never finished the series. This book was all over the place. Very little felt joined together. There is too much happening, most of which feels irrelevant or isn’t fleshed out enough. This book needed much, much better editing. I read this quickly so I didn’t mind finishing, but honestly if you’re looking for a dystopian series skip this one. There much better ones out there in my opinion.
