Amelia Lost: The Life and Disappearance of Amelia Earhart by Candace Fleming

4.0

This informative and inspiring look into the life of Amelia Earhart is a must-read for lovers of history, aviation, and the lives of people who have changed America. Filled with breathtaking images, facts, and quotes, the reader begins to feel connected to Amelia and those she was closest too. Amelia comes alive as her story is unfolded, from her early childhood to her final flight.

At first, I was not that interested with this book, but as I delved deeper into the life of Amelia Earhart, the legend, I began to see the beauty of the photographs and words within these pages. After reading this book, I feel as though I know Amelia, as if she was a friend. By the last few pages, even though I knew what was coming, I was pulling for the searchers to find her and the navigator. Overall, I feel that I learned a lot about an amazing woman and the early developments made in aviation.
