The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh
3.0
The concept of this book was so intriguing but unfortunately, the execution felt a little lacking. This story felt like it need another 200 pages or even a book. The story moved so fast that I felt such a lack of attachment to many characters at all. I've seen so many reviews praising Shin, but even with him I just didn't feel that attached to. He seemed the very classic young adult male lead: brooding bad boy with a mysterious path that gains a soft spot for Mina, which I'm not entirely sure why. Also, the age gap between does not make me very comfortable (Shin is an immortal, at least 100-1000 yrs old and Mina is 16).
The story itself was entertaining enough and I gave my rating a boost purely for there being dragons and epic Imugi fights.
