Loved this thriller. It’s been on my list forever and it did not disappoint.
When Jess shows up to stay with her brother, she finds his Paris apartment empty and his neighbors strange and majorly gaslighting her. As Jess begins to dig, trying to find out what happened to her brother, she starts to uncover a larger plot at play.
The book left me guessing who was involved in what and how during the whole story, with Foley expertly unfolding subtle details through the multiple perspectives in a way that just kept me hooked. Placed in the backdrop of the darker aspects of Paris, I felt transported into the European setting, which added to the eerie, dark feel of the plot itself. I loved how all the pieces wrapped up by the end.
