I feel like I’ve only read half a book. The characters and the plot aren’t always likeable (though I feel like that’s intentional) but they did grab my interest and I was excited to follow the story to it’s end.
I don’t feel like this book ends as much as it simply stops. Your questions don’t get answered, there is no ah-ha moment. There may be hints and nods to a more established plot, but nothing concrete. I honestly don’t know if this is a stylistic choice or if the author never found the right path to take.
I really wanted to like this book but the many loose ends took too much away from the story for me to really be able to recommend it.
