after watching got and hotd i still liked reading this book, even better than the show since all the unnecessary explicit scenes weren't in the book. the writing is very good and the story tells you a little more than what you saw in the show. was still very interesting and nice to read even if you kind of knew what would happen, i even thought the book easier to follow with the events happening
