Cozy and mysterious. Most of the book is spent wondering and trying to figure out what and why things are happening. Sunia and Wulf are definitely the highlight of the book, most of our time is spent with them and it's a joy, the two of them and the shifting POV really does work well for the book even if we do spend a lot more time with Sunia than Wulf, especially in the latter parts of the book. Even rereading this as an adult I feel like the book hold up.
The one downside I kind of have to the book is that it feels like it's building up to something and once you get to that part it just kind of ends before you are ready, this is obviously because it's setting up the next book in the series but it does feel like it comes a bi quickly especially coming from the middle part of the book.
