The Divine Comedy, Vol. I: Inferno by Dante Alighieri

5.0

That was a wild ride. Amazing essay on being a translator by Mark Musa. In my impressionable days, this would intimidate me into Christianity. I can talk about Dante's contextualisation of Hell, but I'm not gonna go that way. It's fun to see historical figures I recognise and who Dante thought are in hell. In my trip to the afterlife, I hope my own personal Beatrice would request Sappho to guide me, or do I have to be a poet for that?
