Fake Out by Eden Finley

3.0

It was much different than I expected.
I expected this to be much more of a rom-com filled with hilarious awkward moments before a HEA based upon the blurb. However, this book quickly took a much more serious road with the subject of the stressors and anxiety of "coming out", fear of abandonment, manipulation in relationships, and what it means to be of the LGBTQ lifestyle in a sports celebrity platform. It also applauded the support of found family.
With that being said, I did love the two main characters and the relationship they built together. Had some spicy scenes. Still good despite being different than what I thought.
