Asher Black by Parker S. Huntington

2.0

This one missed the mark for me. I didn't warm to Lucy at all. There was way too much time spent in her head, and it was repetitive and dull. She was also supposed to be super smart but only came off like that in certain situations when the plot needed it. Otherwise, internally, she was quite vapid.

Asher seemed more of a likeable character, but he was barely around. They had very little time together, and when it was there, it was quite shallow.

I was hoping for a sex filled Billionaire Mafia novel, but it was tamer than a kitten. There were a couple of plots going on but none of them overly developed and some fairly big leaps/plot holes.

I think it was meant to be slow burn, but it never seemed to reach the burn part.

I've just read a book by this author and LJ Shen and loved it, and I've seen that other books by the author are better, so I may try another.

Sorry, just not quite for me this one.
