Iron House by John Hart

4.0

Iron House is an unusually intricate thriller, with settings ranging from senators' mansions to the poorest forest shacks as we follow Michael, Julian and Abigail through a complex maze of discovery dealing with cruelty, love, bribery, family, murder, trust, mental illness and unswerving loyalty.

As the story unfolds, it gradually reveals the true motivations and machinations of the central characters while still managing to surprise even the most hardened thriller-reader at high speed right up to the very end.
