The Science of Getting Rich: The Proven Mental Program to a Life of Wealth by Wallace D. Wattles

4.0

I just picked up the book free from Audible Plus, but did not know it was written a century ago ;) So... with such an old book - the question is: did I find some new ideas that have not been copied in another books that I have read (like, hundreds...). The answer is: YES! I'd give the book maybe even 5/5 if it weren't written in such an old way. It's just like I wouldn't recommend reading the bible, but the Jesus dude really had great thoughts and a good mindset. The same is with this book - It will be hard going though it, especially the opening part (the wording etc). But the core principles are great and there is a lot of small tips to take with You.
***
Some core principles... NEVER compete, always create. Go as fast as you can, but never hurry, never think limited, don't be afraid (somebody will beat You to the thing You want to do). When making deals, always give back more in "use" value than in cash value. Being rich is not a sin, but living a rich live is what You where sent here to do (being rich is noble). The poor do not need charity, they need inspiration. The very best thing you can do for the whole world, is to set a good example. Do not dwell on poverty, but on riches. Extreme altruism is no more better than extreme selfishness. When You want something bad enough, You don't have to take time to visualize this every day, but it will stick with You always (it's the things that You don't care about that You have to concentrate on). You have no right to use your will on other people, even "for their own good". The mind that wants to master other people is the competitive mind. Do not boast - wherever you see a boastful person, there is low confidence. He who will end seeking and advancing, will die soon - it is the nature's way.
