Close to Shore: The Terrifying Shark Attacks of 1916 by Michael Capuzzo

3.0

True story of a great white shark that attacked beach goers on the eastern U.S. shore in 1916. This was the start of recreational swimming and the young great white shark was confused as to his prey.

The events were inspiration for Benchelys' horror classic Jaws. Capuzzo adds science to the development and behavior of sharks, particularly the great white, to the account.

Audio book narrator was adequate.
