Torment by Mark Tilbury
4.0

Beth and her husband David are a happily married couple with a lot to look forward to. That changes when they come home and realise someone has been in their house. There on in, poor Beth questions everyone and everything.

Even though Beth has enough on her plate, she still also finds time to comfort her good friend Kim who is in an abusive relationship and invites her to move in with her and David for Kim’s own safety as well as having the comfort of having a friend around whilst some stalker seems to have made it their mission to make Beth’s life hell.

There are a fair few twists and turns, some I saw coming, others that took me by surprise. It certainly makes for a compelling read that kept me peeled to the pages.

Torment is a tense and gripping psychological thriller that will have you hooked. Like Beth, I dreaded every time something came in the post as to what was inside as it certainly sent chills down my spine. Another page turner of a read from one of my favourite authors in this genre.

My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
