MONSTER is even better as a manga, than it was as an anime. The tension and feeling of something dark lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike, is palpable. The art is stunning and the themes complex. Now that Johan has introduced himself, the story can really pick-up the pace. Onto volume 2!
