I read this because I'm a gigantic fan of Ryan North's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and for fans of SG, this is a bit of a meh. It's a collection of comics she appeared in before her glow-up into her own series, which means you do have to power through a lot of stories centering other character—particularly those of the Great Lakes Avengers—and, let's be real, none of them are as fun as SG. So, the SG stuff is fun (though a little less so when she's all boy crazy for a member of the Thunderbolts), but the other stuff is just kind of mediocre, especially when you get some Deadpool issues later in the run where it just becomes the Deadpool show, which is not why you buy a book that has Squirrel Girl on the cover, let's be real.
