I was very interested to read a kids novel that centre's Crohn's disease but I was disappointed by how lightly it was treated, like a punchline. Also everybody being queer (literally not a single character identifies as heterosexual) makes that seem like a joke as well. It's a cute enough story  (the ibd support group stuff was lovely, and the Breakfast Club references charming) and the writing is quite good tho.
