I really don't know how I feel about this book, which isn't something I say often. Normally I can at least say I'm neutral to it with no strong feelings one way or the other, however with this I'm just confused.

The ghost story was solid and unique. The family dynamics were uncomfortable and really well done. I should have really loved this story, but for some reason it didn't pull me in and not let go. It didn't make me really feel anything. The only thing I can think is maybe it's because the characters were just so uncomfortable and I needed to feel some way towards them? This is only me speculating. It's been a bit since I finished it because I wanted to give myself a chance to think about it, it I still am not sure what it is. I would still suggest this, if nothing else then to hear what others felt after they read this.

Read if you like: disfunctional families, haunted objects/houses, evil spirits, toxic relationships
