Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay

I love audiobooks. I need to say that right from the beginning. However, I am not always a fan of added sound effects in audiobooks. I wish I had known the sound effects, specifically page turning, would be such a prevalent, unpleasant sound throughout the whole book. I kept thinking "surely they're done with this sound," and then it'd be used more. At one point, I was committed to seeing how the story ended, so I'd lower the volume significantly during the parts where they were "filming" and probably missed parts of the story. I could've DNF'd but I was invested, as I thought the story was compelling.

I suffer with misophonia, so this is definitely a niche complaint to make. However, I wanted to list it in case others have those same auditory problems and thinking you too can push through.
