See You at the Finish Line
by Zac Hammett
Zac Hammett’s debut novel, a gay sports romance set at Cambridge University, is a delightful read. The story follows two perspectives: Lucas, an academic first and rower second, and George, a celebrity athlete who attended Cambridge due to his natural athletic abilities and looks. Despite being on the same rowing team, Lucas and George are completely opposed, essentially enemies within the same team.
However, a business-type agreement presents an opportunity for them to work together, forcing them to confront their differences and begin to understand each other on a deeper level than as teammate enemies on the river. Can these two go from foes to a winning pair? Find out in this heartwarming and entertaining novel.
Hammett’s writing style is captivating, and he effectively captures both George and Lucas’s perspectives throughout the journey. This is a promising debut novel, and I eagerly anticipate Hammett’s future works. Don’t miss out on this delightful read!
