I’ve read & seen many Evil Pan stories. I enjoy them and they make sense. As does this book. It’s incredibly well written and full of side turns in the Darling Family story. I adored how it played out. However, I found Holly incredibly frustrating. Her decisions just keep getting more and more off the beaten path as a parent. But then again I’ve never dealt with the trauma of losing a child and spouse. So I did try to give her the benefit of the doubt. The ending was clear from the beginning so that wasn’t a surprise, but I truly enjoyed the intense journey to get there.
