horrorxwhore 's review for:
I have no idea how to rate this book. The first part of this book is seriously so bad and I couldn't DNF because I had to try and understand the hype. There's three stories in the book. The first is a solid 1/5 stars, the second was actually pretty good so I'll give it a 3.5/5, and the last was a 2/5. I can't tell if the hype is simply to troll, or if it's like "ignore the first story and we'll talk about the rest".
The first story is annoyingly edge lord, pure shock value but no substance. The relationship is so superficial and hard to believe because of how quickly things escalated. It was gross, which as a horror reader is whatever, but I always roll my eyes when it's done only for shock value. For a story like that to land it either has to be more of a slow burn, or an over the top satire. Instead it was so ridiculous it was laughable.
The second story I actually enjoyed and would have been happy if it was expanded on into a longer novel.
The third story was somewhere in between the two, it had potential but also got a little ridiculous.
