This book was so different from the first book in the series, but in a really lovely way. I didn't expect to want to know so much about Pepper and Lovie, but as soon as the book got going, I was so glad that Chambers' decided to tell their stories. The different species that exist continue to be rich and diverse. Also, as an autistic person, some of Sidra's experiences felt very relatable to me in really comforting ways.
