Jenna Woginrich writes my kind of fluff. Is there any deep artistic merit in her memoirs? Not a lick. But this is a single lady who progressively gets more and more farmy. First, she dreams about herding sheep with a Border Collie, and she makes it happen (in Barnheart); now she dreams about a watching her flock from the back of a black Fell Pony, and by the end of the book, she is doing just that. I admire Woginrich's will, initiative, and obstinacy, even if I find her prose a bit saccharine at times.
