This book was…interesting to say the least. The concept was really cool, it was obviously inspired by heaven / hell and the religious belief that everyone signs away their life to one realm beyond the mortal one or the other. I was super excited because the back cover is so enthralling—it was a major let down. The writing is extremely underdeveloped, immature, and lazy. Not only that, every single character was one dimensional and boring. The world building was god-awful and most of the time I couldn’t even picture what they were doing.
Overall, it bored me about halfway through, and it was a painful drag to finish. I wont be picking up the second book sorry Gena! Save yourselves and do not pick this one up. It could have been absolutely amazing, like I would watch it in movie form—but she was not the right person to write this story.
