The second book was a lot slower than the first. It seemed to drag on after a while and got a little repetitive. There was more insight on Bastiens' back story that painted a more vivid picture of why he is how he is, where he came from, and why he and his brother are at odds. In the last few chapters, this started to ramp up, giving the action I was hoping for.

There was still some good  ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ and thankfully, not as many cringe or ick moments. And still no idea why this book is called "The Carver" considering nothing in the book reflects the title, in my opinion.
