The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins
It was well written, but this book should not have been written. It does not particularly add much to the Panem universe. While most of the story was boing and dry. It was interesting to get inside Snow’s head. Snow says and thinks all the right things to himself, but if you actually look at his actions he doesn’t believe or feel anything except what power can get him. He says he’s in love and he says he cares for his friends but only if these relationships help him some way. Even when his friend dies he only thinks about himself and how this death inconveniences his own life.
