This book is another feel-good story about a little girl who finds her voice while on a journey to save her grandmother. It is like a sequel to Where the Mountain Meets the Moon in that some characters are repeated and it was nice to have that background knowledge. However, it is a stand alone and can be read without reading the first one for pure enjoyment. I found it a little less exciting than the first book, but a joy to read nonetheless.
