I Shall Not Hate: A Gaza Doctor's Journey on the Road to Peace and Human Dignity by Izzeldin Abuelaish

5.0

This should be required reading for anyone with a pulse. I saw Dr. Abuelaish speak at a literature festival and was transfixed by his story and his hope. This book gives details about the events leading to his daughters’ deaths as well as his upbringing and experiences before the Gaza War that changed his life. It’s an awful story, but a surprisingly readable and hopeful book. Hatred is causing so much suffering in the world. It’s time to try something else. Please, read this book!
