Unfortunately this did nothing for me. Or maybe the opposite since it kinda just annoyed me.
It was trying so hard to be an Emily Henry book. I am so sorry to these authors. But this was definitely not it, in any universe. The characters were flat and most importantly DUMB, the romance was on a ventilator about to die, the plot was bad… everything was mediocre. The writing itself wasn’t even that great, which is unfortunate. I can like a book even if the characters and plot aren’t quite there as long as the writing is decent. But the main couple weren’t even entertaining even though they supposedly entertained people for a living with their words. Also, the side characters were the worst. I don’t know how any of this made it to the final draft. I’m so sorry…….
