Hello Girls by Emily Henry, Brittany Cavallaro

5.0

Hello Girls is about these two teenage girls (seniors in high school) wanting to leave their life in their town. Lucille has to deal with her drug dealing brother and the fact that she and her mother do everything while he sits on his ass. Winona wants to leave her abusive father. The girls meet outside a police station and become the best of friends.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Winona and Lucille are both fun girls and are very different from each other. But get along perfectly. Sure they had a tiff or two, but they always worked it out!

Surprisingly I didn’t get annoyed with the girls as much as I normally would. They both came off as very mature for their age. I loved that!

I really only have one problem with the book. Well, two. It went by so fast. I really couldn’t put it down. Also, I wish it was longer! At 322 pages, I was left wanting more of the girls and their friendship. Hopefully these lovely authors will write a novella of what happened after the end.

I highly recommend this book.
