Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

5.0

First of all, I would like to clarify that I belong in the group of people who love this book. It's one of the classics I re read from time to time and always enjoy it.
With that part gone, I shall continue.
Plenty of people argue that the dislike this book due to the cruelty and self absorption of the protagonists.
In my opinion these exact characteristics make the book and the whole plot Bronte introduced us to, so appealing.
Although the plot is unfolds in multi levels and is characterized by cruelty, depicting the savage - almost demonic- relationship of the protagonists, the successful handling of Bronte, the descriptions that almost came alive and the poetic sublime of her, are combined in a unique way, for the book to be one of the greatest books of English fiction.
Don't get me wrong; this is not just a love story. Bronte manages- with huge success- to depict the interactions and the emotions of her characters, without forgetting, even for a while, even a small part of the each's character and the time and place the story takes place
