Seeing Ghosts by Kat Chow

5.0

For fans of Crying in H Mart this one will dig even deeper.

It felt like an eulogy for a mother while trying to reconnect with a father.

The last part was so beautiful and a rollercoaster of emotions that made my change my initial rating.

It made me think of my own family and how I should be more thankful even though sometimes you just can’t help arguing.

The development of Chow’s father throughout the narrative touched me even though sometimes I too felt like screaming at him.

Beautiful, thoughtful, raw memoir.
