A stunningly brilliant second installment

Jeeeze that was spectacularly good. I loved book one but this took the series into a whole other level.

I'm not sure where I want to start with reviewing this one - the plotting perfection, the adrenaline rush, the chemistry between our two assassins, the banter or their dysfunctional family of equally dubious characters.

I've also surprisingly discovered a fascination for a new kink that I honestly wouldn't have ever gone looking for.

Done here, it was so integral to the relationship between Azrael and Madigan that it never felt like it was a specific thing, it was just them.

And there was something deeply primal about the feelings it created, which enforces the bond between them.

As with book one, I felt the narrative was totally satisfying, the bad guys were a genuine threat and tensions ebbed and flowed throughout.

New characters were introduced and intriguing and I totally did not match up the next pairing at all.

I had my eye on another potential partner for the good doctor of psychology so that gives me hope for a book for too!

Just gutted book three isn't getting here until May
