Really wanted to like this, it's been in YA romance circles for 8 years and has a cute aesthetic but I just didn't. Elanor's backstory felt inauthentic and the bullying plot-line seemed forced. Also, her chapters were racist as hell?? For no reason?? Rowell would need to apologize and rewrite before I could imagine recommending this to anyone.
