It was good, it was so good I even risked my job to devour it.
It was worth it, after all my expectations of two previous books, this one is still so good.
The dynamics between Damen and Laurent is top-tier. Two sides of the same coin, soul mates, lovers in every universe, secrets keepers, asshole to everyone but sweet to you, different yet so similar.
The standard of romance, I mean DARK, twisted, crazy type of love. If the version of that just finished book one asked me how the fuck could they fall in love, I would said never!!! But now, this is one of the most convincing love story ever!!! They fell in love in a very strange way!!!
I love Laurent so much, one of the most beloved and daring characters I have ever seen, I love him just a little more than Damen, just a little. He deserved everything because he WORKED for it. My king had been throught so much. Long live Laurent King of Vere, Long live Damianos King of Akilos, Long Live the Alliance of Vere and Akilos!!!!!
Just a little bit of criticism, I do think the way the Regent accepted his defeat was a little bit too simple, I think a crazy bitch, a disgusting monster like him should be more difficult to handled. May be I missed some details about his downfall or some of his followers just betrayed him in time, or the might want to dethroned him and just wait a perfect timing?
I do think the ending is a little bit rushed, but I satisfied anyway because I want my Kings to return to their thrones.
Damen and Laurent, you guys are now my favorite ship, I'm honoured to be the captain!!!
