A Court of Thorns and Roses (1 of 2) [Dramatized Adaptation]
by Sarah J. Maas
I forgot how whiny Feyre is in this book. Also, how absolutely savage when she looks Alis up and down and goes "I don't see a ring" when Alis is talking about her family. Knowing what else is going to happen, Tamlin gives more and more red flags here when it's abundantly clear how he expects everyone at his beck and call and expects Feyre to be cowed, but is trying to pretend that he's not weirdly fascinated by her and likes dominating humans. And Feyre's first meeting with Rhysand was the most smooth and least irritating thing to happen by far; because it's probably the only time in this part of the book where I'm not hugely annoyed at her.
The voice actors are doing an amazing job. And I'm totally not just saying that because I think Tamlin and Rhysand's voice actors are doing an amazing job demonstrating how inconveniently toxic Tamlin is being and how dashing Rhysand was in his brief dialogue.
