When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
Did not finish book.
1.0
The idea of this book was there, the execution was not.
I feel like I read a different book to everyone else that gives it 4+ stars.
Both the fav and love interest were copies and pasted from other books.
The worldbuilding was intriguing, if it had been done correctly. I feel like a gradual intro to the world would have been better than the first 20/30 being straight info dump.
I love complex worldbuilding and fantasy in general, this was trying to be like those books but failing.
The narration and writing triggered me, the author tried being all lyrical and fancy and it just made the book reading experience painful. I’ve read fan fictions by a 13 year old better than this.
