I enjoyed this book despite going into it thinking it was a full fledged body horror novel. Not really much happened as far as "thrilling" until the last 40 pages, but I still thought it was an interesting read. I really enjoyed the narrator's story and following everything she and Helen, Lilith, and the other women in the book went through with Holistik and Victor. Although I had my suspicions of Holistik, I didn't expect the ending to happen the way it did. I really enjoyed the writing of this story and how each character played a roll in the narrator's life. I feel like the flow of the story was well balanced and I didn't feel like it ended abruptly or was too long since the beginning and middle set the tone and the groundwork for the ending. I wished the story was a bit more complex in terms of horror or thriller since it gave more of a literary fiction vibe to me, but I still did enjoy the story.
