Came into book with high hopes and was not disappointed. It’s really refreshing to see POC in a type of “queen bee” or top of the social hierarchy type role, that for so many years seemed unattainable. Not only is the book filled with so many twists but is a great allegory for so many real issues and the delivery is just so so good! Admittedly I don’t usually read the author’s note at the end, but it really supported how much passion and care Àbíké-Íyímídé really put in her writing.
