“All Near knows.”
“All Near forgets.”
“Or tries.”

After a while now, I’ve finally made it. I read The Near Witch by V. E. Schwab and I am very happy I did.
Personally, it fit quite well with my palette which was in need of a standalone but still with a witchy story to it. There is a little bit of darkness to the content of this novel, however I think it has a nuanced balance. Fitting to its targeted audience, which if I am not mistaken, is Young Adult.
I love how Lexi and Cole connect. Also how the elements of magic are portrayed. It felt like something I could’ve grasped if I could’ve pulled it out of my mind (if this makes sense).
Definitely would read it again.
