Still thinking either 4.5 or 5 stars because ugh this book got my full attention since page one and i fell in love with these characters since the beginning, I had so much fun with the book I didn't want it to end and at the same time I just needed to know, now I need the other books asap!! this book totally deserves the hype it gets, I was kinda scared I wasn't fully like it or love it because the last few YA contemporary books I read weren't my favorite read or I was that obsessed or something but this one definitely has my heart my soul my body my mind, everything!! I'm obsessed not only with the whole riddle and them finding clues and that big house with a lot of secret passages but with the characters for sure!!
I liked Avery right away, her strength, her intelligent, I don't know I really love her and she deserves the world to be honest, I still don't know 100% why her but I don't care she deserves it!! Then hee relationship her bond with her sister, Libby?? Beautiful, I need even more moments between them! Oh and Libby, she's me, I see myself in her, I relate to her a lot so she owns my heart right now I don't care!! She cares so deeply and always trying to see the best in people ugh better than me sometimes!! Then I think Nash was the first Hawthorne brother I started to really like, I mean, he dresses as a cowboy, how couldn't I love him? Kidding but truly the way he said from the beginning he didn't really want the money, I liked that then always trying to protect his brothers, I need more of him too and hmm Libby and Nash I like it!! Xander omg Xander is my baby, the need to hug him and protect him came like since the first moment he appeared!! He's so funny but oh so smart and always trying to be less tense that his brothers, tho I know he was playing the game by himself so he could finally win and I don't really blame him oops!! Then I started to care and like Jameson, I don't know, there's always something about guys self destructing themselves that makes you heart want to help them no matter what! Then Grayson, I like him, he had a good moments where he put his brother first and I really respect him for it, I need read more to really form an opinion, a better opinion but I think I prefer Jameson for Avery but let's see!! And I almost forgot Max but I need more of her, I feel like her friendship with Avery is really important so I need her to go and be with Avery and help her, also she seems really funny and she cares for Avery and Avery totally needs more people on her side that she trust and cares for!!
I really liked the book from the first page until the end, it got my full attention since the beginning, I was intrigued and read 200 pages in a day, I am truly obsessed I need more, this series might become one of my favorites!! Tho I didn't really liked that the story between Grayson and Jameson and a girl is repeating itself but I know Avery will do the right thing, hopefully!! Then I felt like sometimes the author was rushing some scenes, like not describing them walking through some room just cutting to them already in the room or something, I don't mind the descriptions, I do like it! And specially after reading this book after "The Picture of Dorian Gray", I felt the rush even more but overall I loved the book, love the characters, I think they're my family and I want to be part of the game with them all, I also really loved the plot, it's intriguing, got you guessing no matter what and when you thought it was over, nop here's another clue the game isn't over!! I really liked that and the author delivered!!
