North Woods
by Daniel Mason
This story passes through generations, all set in the same yellow house in the woods. Generations of families and generations of trees in the woods. Woven throughout are ghosts. I normally dislike books with ghosts, but these ghosts are different somehow. Their presence is occasional yet timely. As much as I loved following the generations of humans, I loved following the changes in the woods even more. From blights to bugs, you hear how the tree life changes. It's a fascinating story.
