The Dispossessed
by Ursula K. Le Guin
This almost 50-year-old novel of contrasting sociopolitical systems in a science fiction setting probably deserves another star, but it was too much of a slog sifting through it all. There were many astute observations and I appreciated the attempts at, if not balance, then complexity. This is certainly a book that could be discussed at length. Utopia is ever partial and relative. Human nature is variable and confounding yet sometimes lovely.
