Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston

4.0

The second book I read in 2019, the second book from Ashley Poston, and once again she got everything to hook me (here, space pirates and court intrigues) and make me root for the characters. Contrary to Geekerella where I started to like Elle halfway through the book, the characters from Heart of Iron instantly appealed to me. As soon as the first chapter was over I just wanted to run alongside Ana to see where this would lead. And I was not disappointed: it is a good story, the characters are really likeable and the universe was all I wanted. Moreover, there is a diverse cast of character, which is always great!! (And I honestly couldn't pick which of the character was my favourite. I'd say Di but. I'm not so sure.)

Anyway, I loved it and I am very excited for the sequel now. If you like space, pirates and retelling of "fairytale" (i don't really see Anastasia's story as a fairytale since it's based on a theory about a real person) I'm sure you will love that book.

May the stars keep you steady and the iron keep you safe.
