It was better than the last book I read. But not fleshed out enough? I expected some fantasy hunger games type book, but that wasn’t it. The centennial really made no sense… and the first half’s pacing was weird though I liked the second half of the book. Idunno. I’m tired of reading lacklustre books :( I’m glad grim and her random attraction made sense at the end otherwise there was no reason for the intensity of them throughout. However, Oro and her relationship grew organically and we witnessed it and he seems to be a nicer partner than Grim.

I took a break from Sarah Maas books because I started finding her stuff to be the same characters w different names every time, which got old to me. Especially the female / male relationships and their dialogue… But now I’m finding her to be the best writer I’ve found in this sea of romantasy in terms of world building and growth of characters. Does it not get any better? What am I missing?!
