Gotta come back to the review cause all I’m feeling anger that after everything Darrow had to bend a knee to man that killed his wife!

Okay I am back. This book took me up, down and sideways. Darrow is such a good main character. His rage, his will, the mix of emotions he’s having while “making friends” with some of them knowing that he’s sitting in luxury when his blood family is not is just so well written. To know that Pierce Brown is a Zionist is insane information. How can one write a book like this, but still not see this same struggle in Palestinians is quite the rose colored lens issue. Or perhaps he just is a hateful person. I don’t know.

Back to the book though, I genuinely didn’t believe that some of the “side mains” would be killed off but boy was I wrong! KILLING OFF PAX IS INSANE! I was so shocked, genuinely gasped and screamed. I also had zero hope for Mustang. I was of the opinion that she was gonna betray him, i still think she will. She just doesn’t seem like if/when it all comes out she will be able or willing to understand his mission.

I am actually very curious to see how Dancer and the others will take all of this. Cause so much has happened. Do they even have a way to communicate or is this a once he’s in he is relatively on his own situation.
