Very good, and very heavy at times. I've never read a book about videogame design before, and I really enjoyed how it was woven throughout the story, even sometimes having a chapter from the pov of a videogame character. I also liked that a main character was disabled and dealt with chronic pain, and how true to life it was written.
I wasn't in love with any of the characters, and some were pretty crappy to each other, but I couldn't put this down. I had to read it in a short period of time, but I think even if I didn't, I would have flown through it.
Lots of content warnings though.
