Choosing Theo by Victoria Aveline

Whohoo! This book is really good!

I was in a reading slump, more specifically, alien romance reading slump. I browsed through many, many books and nothing caught my interest other than Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians but this book just made my day!

I was hooked from the first page because Jade had realistic reactions to everything that happened around her and at the same time, it never felt lackluster.
I also loved the world-building by the author and Clecania sounds absolutely amazing! What really caught me by surprise was the way the planet functioned, and it's not a bad surprise in any sort of way.

Mainly, the plot was unpredictable except for the fact that you'd know that it would lead to a HEA. Loved that too! Most of the novels under this genre would follow the same storyline:-

Heroine gets abducted > Is on a strange planet > Hero rescues her > Face some drama on that planet > Solve the problem > HEA.

But this book broke that chain and now I'm in awe. I could rant on and on for pages but suffice to say, you're missing out if you don't read this. This book was right up my alley and I'd definitely re-read it.

Fabulous FL *check*
