I really want to like this book than I did. I think it is an incredible piece on violence and toxic masculinity as well as power, community, and just humanity in general. However, it was hard for me to get into at the start and I got a bit lost in the technical aspects of hockey playing(I am not a sports person). I am also currently unsure about how Kevin was made out to be a sympathetic character at first.
